May 21: Bubbles!
Green tea smoothie with tapioca pearls - lovely!
I became infatuated with tea and tapioca pearls, a.k.a. "bubble tea", in China. But only in Chicago have I found bubble smoothies!
May 19: Shedd Aquarium

I don't know about his mom, but Abe's surely developing an appetite for sushi.
(You want culture shock? Go to an aquarium with two Asians - it's like walking through an exhibit of their daily grocery list!)

May 17: My First Paella
Tonight was my first attempt at the traditional Spanish-rice dish paella. My version was a delicious, but a touch too salty, Sage Lemon & Shrimp paella.
Not as good as what I had in Madrid, but i'll get there.
